NEW DELHI: In a fresh jolt to former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday filed an FIR against him in a ‘snooping case’.
The case pertains to alleged irregularities in Delhi government’s Feedback Unit (FBU) which was formed in 2015.
The CBI had alleged in February this year that FBU was created and allegedly used for collecting intelligence related to “political activities of persons, political entities and political issues touching the political interest of AAP”.

Ministry of home affairs had earlier given sanction to prosecute Sisodia under the Prevention of Corruption Act for ‘political snooping’.
Reacting to the CBI’s case against his former deputy AAP chief and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal termed it ‘sad for the country’.
In a tweet, he accused PM Modi of slapping false cases against Sisodia to keep him in jail.

“PM’s plan is to slap several false cases against Manish and keep him in custody for a long period. Sad for the country!”, he tweeted.
