Navratri 2022: How To Make Vrat-Special Khatte Meethe Aloo

Potatoes are stir-fried with red chilli powder, sugar and salt and topped with lemon juice – these khatte meethe aloo offer a great mix of sweet and sour flavours. This recipe is perfect for those who are looking for a quick yet delectable dish to make during Navratri.  So, without further ado, let’s check out the recipe below:

All you have to do for this recipe is, heat clarified butter in a pan. Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Now, add the potatoes and stir-fry. Once the potatoes become light brown, add red chilli powder, salt and sugar. Continue to stir fry until well combined. Remove from heat, add lemon juice and serve. Vratwale khatte meethe aloo are ready! PS: Add 1 tbsp of tamarind paste to the recipe for that extra hint of flavour.
