HYDERABAD: Launching an indirect attack on opposition leaders, aiming more at BRS government and Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asked the people of the state to stay away from corrupt forces and appeasement politics.
Addressing a public meeting from Parade grounds after inaugurating various road, health, and infrastructure projects worth Rs 11,000 crore he said that the Telangana government is not cooperating with the development projects taken up the by Centre for the State, adding that some people only look for their family benefit in every project.
‘Parivarvaad’ was looting even the ration given to the poor people in Telangana, he alleged and stressed the state’s progress was important for overall national growth.
However, he refrained from taking any direct reference to chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao and said, “The NDA government has a great vision for the country and Telangana, the state is not cooperating on development projects, this will be the loss of Telangana people, they should think about this.”
Taking potshots at the opposition parties approaching the Supreme Court he said, “A few days ago some political parties had gone to the court to seek protection so that no one opens their corruption books but the court turned them back.”
Stating that he launched a war against corruption in the country the PM said, “Before NDA there was no Direct Benefit Transfer scheme, and now beneficiaries are getting everything into their accounts, family-owned, corrupt governments only see their benefit in every project.”
The PM said no one will be spared from legal action if they had indulged in corruption. “Should we not initiate action against them, and let the legal course happen against them?” he asked the people.
