BENGALURU: The granddaughter of Congress member TB Jayachandra has written to Rahul Gandhi, saying she is “disturbed” that her grandfather wasn’t made a minister in the Karnataka government and asked him to find a cabinet spot for him.
In her letter, seven-year-old Aarna Sandeep said: “Dear Rahul Gandhi, I am TB Jayachandra’s granddaughter. My grandfather was not made a minister. Therefore, I am very disturbed. He must be made minister because he is hardworking, and love to people and helps them. He should be made a minister.”
Aarna is a Class-3 student and the daughter of Sandeep TJ, Jayachandra’s second son. “We were watching news on TV when it was revealed that her grandfather was not made a minister. She began to cry. To console her, we told her to write to Rahul. She took it seriously and penned a letter,” Sandeep said. He said he had gone with Aarna to his father’s house when Jayachandra’s supporters saw the letter and took its photos. He said they are planning to post it to Rahul. tnn
