RIP Saroj Khan: Shweta Tiwari to Gauahar Khan, TV celebs pay their last respects
Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan died in the wee hours of Friday (July 3) after suffering a cardiac arrest. She was 71. Many television celebs took to social media to pay their last respects to the ace choreographer.
Shweta Tiwari shared a picture with Saroj Khan with a heartbreak emoji and wrote, “#RIPAmma.”
Actor Apurva Agnohotri took to Instagram and wrote, “At rest in the arms of Allah. RIP Master ji.”
Varun Badola shared a fond memory of Saroj Khan from Nach Baliye. She was one of the judges on the show and had given him and Rajeshwari Sachdev Rs 101 after a brilliant performance on stage. “The Queen of choreography is dead. Long live the Queen,” he wrote.
Sidharth Shukla paid his last respect to Saroj Khan on Twitter and wrote, “You were truly one of the reasons dance became an integral part of every household.. your legacy will continue to live on forever.. rest in peace #SarojKhan (sic).”

Vikas Gupta condoled Saroj Khan’s death on social media and shared a video tribute. ” The woman who made dance look so easy #SarojKhan May you rest in peace. #MadhuriDixit Ma’am what a beautiful tribute you had given to her, Her smile says it all. #2020 is taking away a lot form this world (sic),” read his note.
Sunil Grover took to social media and paid his homage to the choreographer. He wrote, ” An era ends with Saroj ji. RIP.”
Gauahar Khan shared an emotional note along with a collage of pictures with Saroj Khan. “Ufffffffff! #SarojJi I’m just so sad to have lost the chance to talk to u one more time , to see u laugh , to learn something amazing from u, to hear ur strong commanding voice that came from a very patient soul ! Innallillaahee wainna ilayhi raajeeoon! May Allah grant u jannah , for the numerous lives u touched, the hearts u connected with, the impact u had on so many lives! (sic),” her note read.
Arjun Bijlani shared a picture with Saroj Khan from the sets of Dance Deewane and wrote, “The woman who made the stars stars and dance like stars. I’m Glad I shared the stage with you in this lifetime. RIP. Prayers (sic).”
Rashami Desai grieved the choreographers’ death and wrote, “She was the “Mother of choreography in india” Our Guru ji! Sad sad May her soul rest in peace #SarojKhan #OmShanti (sic).”

Saroj Khan was admitted to Bandra’s Guru Nanak Hospital on June 20 for breathing problem. She died of cardiac arrest on July 3 at 1.52 am. The choreographer was laid to rest in a cemetery in Malad in Mumbai at 7 am on July 3.
