NEW DELHI: Oyo Rooms founder Ritesh Agarwal‘s father Ramesh Agarwal on Friday died after falling from a high-rise building in Gurugram.
Ramesh Agarwal fell from his 20th floor flat in a posh society while his wife, son and daughter-in-law were inside the flat.
“Ramesh Agarwal’s father of Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal died after falling off the 20th floor in DLF The Crest, Sector 54, Gurugram. Inquest report u/s 174 CrPC carried out. A team along with SHO sector 53 visited the place of occurrence. Postmortem done and body handed over,” Virender Vij, DCP East said.
“With a heavy heart, my family and I would like to share that our guiding light and strength, my father, Shri Ramesh Agarwal passed away on March 10. He lived a full life and inspired me and so many of us, every single day. His death is a tremendous loss for our family,” Ritesh Agarwal said in a statement.
“My father’s compassion and warmth saw us through our toughest times and carried us forward. His words will resonate deep in our hearts. We request everyone to respect our privacy in this time of grief,” he added.
Ritesh Agarwal recently got married to Geetansha Sood in Delhi.
