No matter where life takes you, once in a while, it is important to pause and be grateful for even the simplest things in life. Shilpa Shetty, too, is known to count her blessings and takes home-cooked food seriously without missing out on expressing appreciation for the same. Recently, she started a new series on Instagram called “Gratitude 52” where she shares her life’s blessings. The actress is currently in the ninth week of the series and, this time, her Instagram post has left us drooling. She dropped a photo of a wholesome meal that includes a variety of Indian dishes. On the plate, we can see roti (flatbread), accompanied by a range of curries.

There’s a bowl of chole curry cooked with spices and a dry preparation of cauliflower cooked with chopped carrots. We also spot a paneer curry on one side of the platter. For the salad, there are chopped onions and sliced beetroot. Another slide in the post shows an illustration of a book that reads “Grateful for:  A healthy meal”.

Shilpa captioned the post, “I love and live by this quote by Mr. Deepak Chopra, ‘Fill your plate with the colours of the rainbow. What pleases the eye, pleases the body.’ Extremely grateful for the healthy meals we eat that nourish the mind, body, and soul.”

Shilpa Shetty’s Instagram posts often show her immense love for Indian food. As she began shooting for a film in Punjab, she treated us to her food diaries from the state. The actress recently gorged on sarson ka saag and makki di roti. The roti was topped with butter and with some jaggery served on the side. Shilpa seemed truly happy with the feast that she enjoyed with her crew. She captioned the post, “When in Punjab, eat like Punjabis.” Read more about it here.

From breakfast to dinner, be it homecooked food or a healthy delicacy, Shilpa Shetty knows how to maintain the perfect balance. A few days ago, she enjoyed a South Indian breakfast that included idli and sambar. Shilpa shared a Boomerang where she looked amused at the size of idli that was slightly larger. She captioned the post, “Size matters”, and attached a sticker of a measuring tape. Click here to see what Shilpa’s South Indian breakfast looked like.

Shilpa Shetty’s gastronomic adventures are a delight, and we love how she enjoys being a foodie.
