U.S. Consumer Spending Grew More Slowly in September

Consumer spending rose 0.6% in September, the Commerce Department said Friday, as the Delta variant and supply-chain disruptions weighed on households.

Economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal had forecast a 0.6% rise in September, down from August.
