NEW DELHI: Indian cricket stalwart Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, joyously announced the birth of their baby boy, Akaay, on February 15, adding to their family which already includes an elder daughter named Vamika.
Kohli’s confirmation came through a heartfelt Instagram post where he expressed gratitude and requested privacy during this special time.
“We are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes,” Kohli shared on Instagram.

Amidst speculations over his absence from cricketing duties, an image circulated on social media purportedly showing Kohli spending quality time with his daughter Vamika at a restaurant in London, adding a personal touch to the celebrations surrounding the family’s new addition.
The picture shared by many social media influencers went viral in no time.

While embracing fatherhood, Kohli didn’t miss the opportunity to extend his congratulations to the Indian cricket team following their historic series win against England.
After India’s resounding victory in the fourth Test in Ranchi, securing an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series, Kohli took to social media to applaud the team’s efforts.
“YES!!! Phenomenal series win by our young team. Showed grit, determination and resilience,” Kohli posted on X platform (formerly known as Twitter), demonstrating his unwavering support for his teammates despite being away from the field due to family commitments.

India’s home supremacy was evident as Rohit Sharma‘s men clinched a hard-fought victory against England, marking their 17th consecutive series triumph on home soil. The win not only showcased India’s dominance but also served as a reality check for England, whose strategies failed to match the resilience of the hosts’ formidable lineup.
