What Apple March 8 launch event invite hints at
Apple has rolled out media invites for its special event scheduled for next week. The online event will be held at 10 am PT (around 10:30 pm IST) on March 8. Although Apple is not known to reveal anything about its upcoming products, the media invites for its special events often hints at what people can expect. This time was no exception, there are a couple of hints in this month’s Apple special event media invite as well. Here are the hints that we spotted in the Apple invite and what they may indicate.
“Peek Performance” tagline on the Apple special event invite
At first glance, some may feel there is a typo in the “Peek Performance” tagline and may confuse the “Peek with “Peak” but that is Apple’s way of teasing its products. With the tagline, Apple may be hinting at its upcoming performance oriented products. The company is reportedly working on new Macs with its next generation M2 Silicon chip and the tagline hints that we may see a couple of them at the special event.
A report by 9to5Google suggests that the company may be teasing the third-generation iPhone SE. As per the report, the tech giant is hinting at the 5G connectivity in the iPhone SE 3 as Apple used a similar tagline, “Hi, Speed” when it launched the iPhone 12 series which were Apple’s first smartphone with 5G connectivity.
Apple is also rumoured to be working on an AR/VR headset that sports three screens and is as powered as a Mac. As “Peek Performance” fits perfectly with the product, we may see Apple’s first mixed reality headset on March 8.
Colourful Apple logo on the Apple special event invite
Apple has also placed a colourful logo on the media invite for the March 8 event. In the logo, Apple has used five different colours – yellow, orange, red, pink, and purple. This may be a hint about the colour options coming to products launching next week. In the past few years, Apple has introduced new pastel colours for its products and with the media invite logo, it seems that we may see vibrant colour options for iPhone SE 3 or iPad Air. The current-generation iPhone SE comes in three colour options: white, black and red.
Just like previous years, you can also see an augmented reality version of the Apple logo on your iPhone and iPad. Apart from this, the company has also created a Twitter hashflag for the upcoming event. When you use the #AppleEvent on Twitter, you will be able to see a similar Apple logo next to the hashtag.
