Zomato Shares Special Message For Team India After Win At World Cup Semi-Finals



Food aggregator Zomato has been on a roll ever since the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 began. Their quirky posts have left the Internet laughing out loud. After defeating New Zealand in the semi-finals on Wednesday, India is all set for the World Cup final. Fans are cheering for the team on social media, and Zomato is surely not shying away from putting forth its take. The delivery app lived up to fans’ expectations and teased India’s 2019 opponent, New Zealand, on X (formerly Twitter). Zomato thanked Team India for successfully taking revenge for the defeat it faced in the ICC World Cup 2019 against the Black Caps. The text read, “Thank you, team India, for serving the coldest dish – revenge.”

After this, Zomato re-shared Rohit Sharma’s 2011 tweet, wherein he expressed his disappointment for not being part of the World Cup squad. Rohit Sharma’s post read, “Really, really disappointed of not being part of the WC squad… I need to move on from here…but honestly, it was a big setback… Any views!” Responding to his post, Zomato wrote, “They might take time, but dreams do get delivered.”

Of course, Virat Kohli’s 50th ODI ton received a special mention by the food aggregator. It shared a picture of Virat Kohli, with the text, “Delivering records. Delivering victories and soon delivering a cup.” The caption along with the picture read, “Delivering happiness to 1.2 billion people! Virat Kohli.”

In another hilarious post, Zomato talked about the menu on the day of the semi-finals and wrote, “Menu for today: Virat Kohli’s century for lunch. 2019’s revenge for dinner.”

Meanwhile, the winner of today’s semi-final between South Africa and Australia will face India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Sunday.
