PUNE: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued forecasts for widespread rainfall across various regions in India from July 24 to July 28, 2023.

In the North-western region, Uttarakhand is expected to experience light to moderate fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy showers from July 24 to July 28.
Similar conditions are anticipated in Himachal Pradesh and East Rajasthan from July 24 to July 27, and in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, and West Uttar Pradesh from July 26 to July 28. West Rajasthan is also on alert for rainfall on July 25 and 26, while Jammu and Kashmir is predicted to receive showers on July 26 and 27.

Additionally, isolated very heavy rainfall is expected in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on July 26 and 27, and in Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, and East Rajasthan on July 26.
Moving to Central India, areas including Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh are set to witness light to moderate fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy showers from July 24 to July 28. This weather pattern extends to West Madhya Pradesh on July 24, 27, and 28, and East Madhya Pradesh on July 28. Isolated regions in Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh are warned of very heavy rainfall on July 26 and 27.
For the western region, IMD anticipates light to moderate widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy showers over Konkan & Goa and ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra from July 24 to July 28. Gujarat can expect isolated heavy rainfall on July 24. Notably, Konkan & Goa and ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra are on alert for extremely heavy rainfall on July 26.
In South India, fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy showers is expected across Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, and Coastal Karnataka from July 24 to July 28. Rayalaseema and North Interior Karnataka should also expect isolated heavy rainfall from July 24 to July 26. This is followed by South Interior Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe from July 24 to July 27 and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal on July 24 and 25.
