MOHALI: Former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, 95, was admitted to a private hospital in Mohali on Saturday evening. The hospital released a statement stating that Badal was admitted with gastritis and bronchial asthma. Badal is under the treatment of Dr Deepak Bhasin and Dr Digambar Behera; he is improving with all his parameters now normal, the statement said.
Earlier, on June 6, the five-time chief minister of Punjab was admitted to PGIMER after he complained of stomach and chest pain, but was discharged on June 7.
Badal also tested Covid-19 positive earlier this year.
