West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, who is on a three-day tour to Maharashtra, targeted Congress on Wednesday, saying “what is UPA, there is no UPA now” amid signs that her party is opposed to a Congress-led opposition front to take on NDA.

She made the statements during an interaction with civil society in Mumbai and after a meeting with NCP chief Sharad Pawar at his residence.
Mamata said that the opposition’s choice of PM would be decided by the evolving “situation and the states”, explaining that the important “issue now… was to wipe the BJP out of the country politically and save democracy.”
A day after Banerjee took a swipe at the Congress, it was the turn of her political adviser and trusted aide Prashant Kishor to train his guns at Gandhis saying that leadership of the grand old party was not the divine right of an individual.

The sequence of events divided Netizens, triggering a difference of opinion among those on Twitter.
