Comparisons between Ravindra Jadeja and Krunal Pandya is baffling as Ravindra Jadeja has played over 250 matches for India including 49 Test matches, whereas Krunal Pandya is just 18 T20Is old. The only reason for this debate can be because of their similar role in the team, spin-bowling all-rounder but that’s not enough to be honest. Even if we talk of Indian Premier League, Ravindra Jadeja has featured in 170 odd matches while Krunal Pandya at 29 has played 55 games. Jadeja has scored 1,927 runs at an average of over 24 and strike-rate of 122.66. Krunal on the other hand has 891 runs at a strike-rate of 146 and average of 25.46.
Ravindra Jadeja has 110 wickets to his name at a strike-rate of 23.1 and and economy of just over 7. Krunal Pandya on the other hand has scalped 40 wickets at a strike-rate of 23.6 and economy of 7.7.
The difference is surely not huge but then the experience of Jadeja and his supernatural fielding prowess will always give him the upper hand over other players looking for the spot he is comfortably occupying for now.
