This one-pot dish can be relished as is or can be cooked with a wide variety of ingredients. Adding to the list, here we bring you a delicious chole palak pulao recipe shared by celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor.

As the name suggests, this pulao is made using chole (chickpea) and palak. It is light, rich in protein and extremely wholesome. You can make this yummy pulao for lunch or even for dinner. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with papads, salad and raita. Check out the recipe below:

Chole Palak Pulao Recipe: How To Make Chole Palak Pulao

To begin with the recipe, first, heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds, black peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves and saute till fragrant. Add onion, mix and cook till translucent. Now, add green chilli and ginger-garlic paste and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add spinach puree and mix well. Allow it to cook for 1-2 minutes.

Next, we need to add the chickpeas and rice. Mix well. Add 3 cups of the reserved cooking liquor. Add salt, mix and let it come to a boil. Cover and cook on low-flame for 15-20 minutes or till the rice and chickpeas are cooked completely. Once done, allow the pulao to rest for 5 minutes. Chole palak pulao is ready!
