Noida Grand Omaxe: Shrikant Tyagi’s supporters barge into society, misbehave with residents; six detained | Noida News – Times of India
Tyagi was booked in a molestation case on Friday after he pushed a woman, a resident of the society he lives in, during an argument over palm trees he had planted near his apartment.
As per residents, around seven to eight people barged into the society and raised slogans in the favour of Tyagi after standing outside his house.
While some residents opposed it, they started misbehaving with the residents and also used abusive language. They also raised slogans against the complainant in the case.
The police reached the spot after residents informed them. After sometime, BJP leader Dr Mahesh Sharma also reached the spot. He assured residents that soon cops arrest the Tyagi.
Residents raised slogans against Noida police and asked cops to arrest Tyagi as soon as possible.
Sujeet Upadhyay, SHO of Phase-2 police station said that around 8pm today, we got information from residents that some supporters of Tyagi reached the society and were trying to disturb the law and order situation.
“They told security guards of the society at the gate that they were relatives of Tyagi and came to meet his wife. But when security guards didn’t allow entry to them then they started misbehaving with guards. After which residents reached and a heated argument was exchanged between them as well,” he said.
“We have detained six supporters of Tyagi and questioning is under process,” SHO said.
