Vishal, apart from acting, has been producing back-to-back films under his own banner, Vishal Film Factory. The production house is back in the news for not paying TDS (Tax Deducted at source) worth Rs 45 lakh for the latest financial year.

The actor and the production house’s manager Hari, during the audit, found that a female employee (accountant), who had worked with the company for six years, had provided fake documents and swindled the money kept aside for the TDS.

The woman employee, instead of paying Rs 45 lakh as TDS, transferred the entire amount to her family member’s bank account. According to Hari, she was supposed to furnish documents related to Income Tax on or before June 28. Later, they found out she never paid the TDS amount.

Following this, Hari has filed a complaint against the employee at the Virugambakkam police station in Chennai. Reportedly, no one in the company knows about the female employee’s whereabouts.

At present, Vishal’s production house is bankrolling two of his upcoming films, Chakra and Thupparivaalan 2.

Chakra’s trailer was unveiled by the team recently and caught the attention of the netizens. Directed by debutant Anandan, the film is a hacker drama about a mass robbery that happens on Independence Day.

Meanwhile, Thupparivaalan 2, which also marks the directorial debut of Vishal, is put on hold. Earlier, Mysskin was helming the film. Due to creative differences, Vishal took over the project as the director.
